Milling and embedding

Milling and embedding with the Entrust MPR 5000 Datacard System

With our MPR 5000 Datacard system, we are able to provide up to 20,000 cards each day with contact chips. We proceed through the following process steps: checking each blank card for stamping accuracy and any thickness deviations; milling the necessary recess for the chip module into the blank card; stamping the contact chip out of the carrier material and affixing it with hot-melt adhesive; and testing the finished cards electronically to ensure correct functionality (ATR test).
Individual cards are randomly tested mechanically (bending and torsion) to ensure correct adhesion.
